Take your flying to the next level by pursuing your Commercial Pilot Certificate

Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age and able to read, speak, write and understand the English Language

  • Hold at least a private pilot certificate

  • 250 hours of total aircraft time

  • 50 hours of cross country flight time

  • 10 hours of instrument training with an instructor

  • 10 hours of training in a complex, turbine powered or technically advanced aircraft with an instructor

  • One 2 hour cross country flight in daytime conditions that involves a landing more than 100 nm straight line distance from the departure point with an instructor

  • One 2 hour cross country flight in nighttime conditions that involves a landing more than 100 nm straight line distance from the departure point with an instructor

  • 10 hours of solo flight time in a single engine airplane

  • One solo cross country flight of not less than 300 nm total distance, with landings at a minimum of 3 points, one of which is a straight line distance of at least 250 nm from the original departure point

  • 5 hours of solo flight time in night VFR conditions with 10 takeoffs and 10 landings in the traffic pattern at an airport with an operating control tower
